Who we are.

Carol Soutar & Aoife Behan. We are Jelly+Gin.
Jelly + Gin are Aoife Behan, the glutton, and Carol
Soutar, the aesthete. They orchestrate unusual dining events using a
magical mix of collaboration, good food cooked well and limitless
creativity. Jelly+Gin Productions pop-up in unusual locations, and
always offer a totally unique, if somewhat leftfield, experience.
Sometimes they are the masters of their own destiny; bringing their own
ideas to life. Sometimes they are quite happy to make others'
extravagant dreams come true. You might ask - many people do - who is
Jelly? who is Gin? The truth is they are both a little bit jelly and a
little bit gin. However, quantities do vary depending on mood.
The Glutton more commonly known as Event Director
Aoife is most definitely the glutton in the partnership. A pop-up restaurateur and a guerilla dining mastermind, Aoife is obsessed with communal dining in unusual locations. As a committed carnivore she started Edinburgh’s first true guerilla dining experience Burgher Burger which has become a meat seeking monster of an event.
Aoife has had many years experience working in public sector strategy and has a PG Dip in Management Studies and MSc in Policy and Planning from the London School of Economics. What does this have to do with what she’s doing now? Nothing really, other than the fact that she now knows how to get things done with military precision.
She is a lover of pie and trifle; and has never knowingly under eaten. Aoife describes herself as a day-dreaming realist; an independently minded people pleaser; and a lover of tradition in hot pursuit of the next big thing

The Aesthete more commonly known as Creative Director
Carol is the aesthete. An experienced art director, graphic & logo designer, typographer & illustrator. But its not all about looks - Carol is an idea-monger who relishes collaborations and a fresh challenge.
As an art director, she's created advertising campaigns in some of the most exciting creative departments in some of the best ad agencies on some of the biggest brands around. She has even won a bunch of awards for her work, but doesn't really like to brag about it, after all, nobody like a show-off.
She has a degree in Fine Art from GSA and worked previously as a theatre and film scenic artist & prop maker. This goes some way to explain her ability to bring a sense of drama to any brief. See some of her work at here.
Carol has lived & worked in Glasgow, Hong Kong, Rome, Dublin and now Edinburgh.

Have been given a bottle of Amer Picon. Afraid to open without a proper plan of action. Any cocktail recommendations? http://t.co/uSIFxXKiHo
